The Story of Planet Patrol

Maps with a story. Made in London.

Planet Patrol was born from a fascination with maps, London and the stories hidden within its streets.

We take inspiration from original historic maps and the extraordinary detail they contain — the streets, parks, landmarks and neighbourhoods that have shaped London over generations — and reinterpret them as contemporary pieces of art for modern homes.

What began with a love of old cartography has grown into a collection of distinctive London map prints, combining the character and detail of the past with a bold, contemporary aesthetic.

Made by hand in London

Our larger maps are hand screen printed in our studio in Woolwich, South East London, using a traditional multi-colour screen-printing process. Every print is carefully produced layer by layer, allowing the intricate detail of the original maps to work alongside strong colour and modern typography.

The result is something that feels both historic and contemporary — a piece of London that can sit comfortably in a modern interior.

Every screen print is individually signed, making each one feel personal and considered rather than mass-produced.

London is at the heart of everything we do

From iconic central London to neighbourhoods with their own unique character, our maps celebrate the city in all its forms.

We are fascinated by the way London constantly changes while traces of its past remain visible beneath the modern city. Our maps capture that sense of history — giving people the opportunity to explore familiar places in a completely different way.

Our A6 mini maps take this idea even further. Digitally created and accompanied by a magnifying glass, they invite you to slow down, look closer and discover the streets and details hidden within the map.

Planet Patrol brings together 19th-century cartography and contemporary graphic design, creating bold pieces that work as both artwork and conversation starters.

Our colourways are deliberately vibrant, adding a modern edge to the intricate lines and typography of the original maps.

The contrast between old and new is at the heart of Planet Patrol.

Made with consideration

We care as much about how our products are made as how they look.

We produce our screen prints with water-based inks, and we use recycled packaging wherever possible. We want our products to feel thoughtfully made from the artwork itself through to the moment it arrives at your door.

A different way to see London

Whether it's a large hand-pulled screen print hanging on a wall or a tiny map being examined through a magnifying glass, each piece is designed to spark curiosity and remind us that every street has a story.
